Kings coach Hiller came under fire earlier in the series for seriously shortening his bench late in games, as well as a number of other questionable decisions.

Kings coach insists LA should've won series against Oilers

Instead of looking at any of their shortcomings or praising the Oilers effort, after the series Kings coach Jim Hiller insisted that they should've won the series.
The Kings lost 4 straight games after winning the first two, as the Oilers seemed to take a tick to find their game. Late in the series when it mattered, every single Oiler stepped up to meet the moment and overwhelm the Kings. In particular, Game 5 wasn't close.
Early in the series, Hiller made a number of decisions that may have hurt his team's chances of winning entirely. Heavily benching depth players put more stress on his top players, and his coach's challenge proved costly as well.
The Kings may have been able to do better than losing 4 straight, but the Oilers simply stood up to become the better team after it flipped back to Edmonton.
Kings fans in particular aren't too happy with Hiller's impact on the series. It's very possible that for his role in their loss, he loses his job in the coming days. The Oilers have grown accustomed to breaking teams rosters.
After 4 straight playoff losses, maybe the Kings core simply aren't good enough to beat McDavid's Oilers in a best of 7 series.
