Edmonton Journal's Oilers insider Jim Matheson tweeted some clarification regarding Warren Foegele's from Oilers last summer with the Oilers defeating the Los Angeles Kings in Round One.
Several fans commented on Foegele's apparent snub to McDavid
After the Oilers defeated the Kings, several fans tweet it on the X platform that Foegele refused to make eye contact with McDavid when both cross paths in the handshake line.
Video evidence shows this was the contrary as both men looked at one another and gave each other a respectful handshake and moved on as Foegele is now on the other side of the coin.
Many fans also brought up past comments that Foegele made during an interview after he signed in Los Angeles stating that he hated the Oilers which many felt was disrespectful to the organization.
Some others took it as a tongue in cheek and entertainment comment which could be debated.
Foegele's performance as a King has been inconsistent
\This season's regular season was the best statistically for Foegele as he played 82 games, scoring 24 goals with 22 assists for 46 points and was a + 36 with 24 penalty minutes.
His playoff performance on the other hand, seemed distant and unnoticeable as he would have several breakaways but not anything to show for it while only scoring one goal with two assists or three points through six games.
Despite his loss in the roster, the Oilers moved on from Foegele enter now moving on to take on
the Vegas Golden Knights which will be a great series to watch.
