Oilers promising prospect dominating scoresheet in AHL

As of November 9, 2025, the 22-year old Marjala has 9 points (1 goal, 8 assists) in 11 games for the Bakersfield Condors this season. Marjala is currently second on the team in assists and has established himself as a top-line center.

Marjala has had an impressive start to the season, showing his ability to initiate plays with his passing ability. He is first and foremost a pass-first player, and does it well.

Viljami also has the ability to a drive line and connect with teammates, as has been the case centering the Condors' top line with Quinn Hutson, developing chemistry on plays that show why he's highly-touted.

As an entry-level contract player, Marjala is waiver-exempt, allowing him to develop in Bakersfield. It's his first year playing in North America.

Last season, he posted 52 points (8G, 44A) in 44 games played with TPS in Liiga, the top professional ice hockey league in Finland.

One area in which Viljami needs to develop is shooting more, a mindset that will come as he continues to play in North America, where the game is more of a North-South game, as a pose to the more lateral European style, which emphasizes passing.

He played his junior hockey in the QMJHL, for the Quebec Ramparts, recording 73 points in 98 games over two seasons, of which 55 were assists.

With his ability to contribue production, it may not be too long before we see Marjala playing with the Oilers.
