The Edmonton Oilers have put doubt in the minds of the golden Knights as the team has made a couple of changes with a sense of urgency prior to Game 2.

Golden Knights players did not like their game

Several Golden Knights players spoke to the media after the game expressing that they need to be better in Game 2 and have a strong sense of urgency.
It was the first time the Knights have dropped a playoff series opener since their 2023 First Round Game 1 matchup against the Winnipeg Jets.
The VGK were back at practice Wednesday, prepping for what's now a pivotal Game 2 on Thursday. Vegas is looking to even the series before traveling to Edmonton for Games 3 and 4.
"We should have a sense of urgency," VGK forward Jack Eichel told Channel 13's Nick Walters after practice. "We're down in the series, and it's a big game tomorrow at home. I think it's just about us and finding our game. Obviously, we didn't have it last night, so understand what we did wrong and just go from there." - Jack Eichel

This was the first time that the Golden Knights had dropped a game one in a series since the 2023 first round matchup against the Winnipeg Jets.
"It's a long series of 7 games," defenseman Noah Hanifin told Walters. "Whether you win or lose, you can't get too emotional, no matter what happens, especially after the first game. I think last night there are definitely some things we can improve on, which is a good thing. We can correct that and bring a better game tomorrow." - Noah Hanifan

Oilers getting contributions from many Oilers players

The Oilers have looked stronger with every game since they went down 2-0 in the first series against the Los Angeles Kings.
The team has been able to dress every player meant to play with the organization and have looked strong, confident and have some of the best physical play in the NHL playoffs.
This confidence has translated into better goaltending, defensive coverage and goals for as the Oilers looked to slow their goals against from 24 in the first round.
Game 2 will take place on May 8th and game time will be at 9:30 PM eastern in Las Vegas NV at T-Mobile Arena.
