The Edmonton Oilers are visiting the Philadelphia Flyers today to kick off a 7-game road trip, and will deploy the same lines as last game.
Oilers running back same lineup in tonight's game vs. Flyers
According to reporters at today's practice, the Oilers will lineup as follows:
Matt Savoie will stick on the first line assignment, and was one of the few players who performed well against Columbus. He only saw 14:16 of ice time against the Blue Jackets, but recorded 2 shots and created some high-danger scoring chances.
Keeping this line together is valuable for Savoie, and should be a good combo for the Oilers.
Draisaitl's line alongside Podkolzin and Roslovic has perhaps been the Oilers' best line, and should stay together. Howard will continue to play on the 3rd line with Henrique and Frederic, while Janmark, Philp, and Lazar round out the 4th line.
It's a bit surprising to see
David Tomasek scratched for a second straight game. Especially with Hyman returning, his spot on the roster is looking more precarious.
Stuart Skinner will get the start in net again tonight, looking to raise his save percentage from a low .889 and start delivering more consistent results.
The Flyers do have some impressive young talent on their roster, but this is a roster the Oilers should be able to handle.
The Oilers still need to show a more complete game after somewhat of a lucky comeback win against Columbus. With another weaker opponent in the Flyers, this is a great opportunity for the Oilers to step up tonight.
