The Edmonton Oilers bested the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 2 to take a commanding 2-0 series lead, but Connor McDavid is putting the NHL on notice that they aren't done.

McDavid has been on a run with legendary quotes on the belief of the team, including calling out all doubters of the Oilers before playoffs. He's looking completely correct that Edmonton is coming for the Cup.

Connor McDavid puts the entire NHL on notice with a chilling quote

After their statement win, McDavid said that the Edmonton Oilers aren't even in their final form yet. They're still building and refining their game, and elevating with every new challenge.
The group's feeling confident but I think our best is still coming. We're just building & building our game.

- Connor McDavid
The Edmonton Oilers are now undefeated in the playoffs since making the switch to Pickard, and it's flat out scary to think that they could actually improve from their current state.
The Oilers have set an NHL record themselves already with 6 straight playoff comeback wins. It shows that no matter how hard quality defensive teams like Vegas and LA try to contain them, the Oilers talent is undeniable.
Connor McDavid himself is obviously at the heart of it. Although the Oilers depth has stepped up to unprecedented levels, the captain is still the one leading the charge. On last night's overtime winner, he made Jack Eichel look like a house leaguer.
If the Oilers are still building and have another level to reach, no team in the NHL will be able to stop them. They already look like the Cup favourites again, and if they can keep improving, they'll be breaking more NHL playoff records.
