The Edmonton Oilers took the second game of their second round series from Vegas, and Golden Knights coach Bruce Cassidy was so livid after the game he may be fined.

The series has begun to get heated as the two rival teams go at each other. Nicolas Roy will be facing a suspension, but Cassidy was ticked off with Viktor Arvidsson and the referees.

Bruce Cassidy likely to be fined for his comments toward referees after Game 2

Look, Gord [Dwyer] is looking at it. He blew it. He missed the call. I don't know what else to say. It's a can opener trip, it's a dangerous play, it's all those things. Didn't get called, so you gotta keep playing.

Heading by boards, Viktor Arvidsson did get his stick into the skates of Brayden McNabb, causing him to fall down hard in a dangerous position. There was no penalty called, and McNabb left the game with injury.
Honestly, Coach Cassidy's comments are completely understandable. It was a clear penalty missed by the referees that resulted in injury. Calling out the referees by name like this is against strict NHL rules, so Cassidy should expect to be fined.
Unfortunately, Coach Cassidy had no update on the status of McNabb after the game. If he's forced to miss time with injury, as well as losing Roy to a suspension, Vegas will be heavily shorthanded in Game 3.
With the series headed back to Alberta the Oilers have a prime chance to take a commanding lead. On home ice with the fans of Oil Country behind them, Edmonton always looks unbeatable.

Do you think the NHL will fine Cassidy for calling out the referee by name?
