The Vegas Golden Knights have sustained some serious injuries through their playoffs against the Oilers, and now it's possible that Mark Stone could miss the rest of the series.

Mark Stone had missed half a game earlier in the series and was considered day to day with injury. If he's missing a potential elimination game, the injury is very serious.

Mark Stone doubtful to play in Game 5 vs Edmonton Oilers

According to several reports from Vegas insiders, Stone is very unlikely to play tonight - in what could be their last game.
Stone sustained a scary looking injury in a collision with Corey Perry midway through Game 3, which is believed to be the cause of Stone's injury.
While going to make a check on Perry, Stone fell and his hand appeared to take the brunt of the contact. The hand seemed close to coming into contact with the skate, causing a major injury scare briefly.
It's curious that Stone was able to come back and play Game 4, but unable to go for Game 5. He's clearly no stranger to playing through pain, so it must be significant to hold out the Vegas captain in this situation.

Oilers have prime opportunity with Mark Stone out of Vegas lineup in Game 5

Missing Stone is a massive loss for the Vegas Golden Knights. As their captain and premier two way player, he's key to matching the talent of the Oilers.
Without Stone, the Oilers need to seize the opportunity and end this series quickly, and punch their ticket back to the conference finals.
