Reports of the Oilers signing Hutson surfaced a few days ago, and now with him arriving in Edmonton, the deal has been finalized and he will play tonight.

Oilers prospect Quinn Hutson involved in terrifying plane ordeal on way to Edmonton

According to NHL insider Jeff Marek, Quinn Hutson was on a plane to Edmonton that needed to be diverted for an emergency landing.
According to reports from 9NewsDenver, the plane was seen with flames coming out of its engine after a suspected wildlife strike. Thankfully, they successfully completed their turnaround to land safely with no injuries in Denver.
The flight, UA2325, had just departed Denver International Airport en route to Edmonton, Canada when it was forced to turn around "to address a possible wildlife strike," United said.

The airport said Denver firefighters responded, which is standard protocol when a plane is diverted. No flames were visible when the firefighters arrived, the spokesperson said.

Quinn Hutson set to make Oilers debut after scary plane incident

Oilers fans can now get excited to see Hutson join the lineup in the final two games of the season.
Insider Bob Stauffer has touted Hutson as a talented playmaker, passer, and shooter - a premium offensive player in every category. The Oilers will now have him in the organization pushing to make the NHL team next year.
The 23 year old forward is the older brother of elite Montreal Canadiens defenceman Lane Hutson. In 38 games this season with Boston University, Quinn scored 23 goals and 50 points.
Hopefully Hutson can live up to the hype and find a way to crack the NHL roster next year - potentially even using his offensive skills in the top six forward lines.
