The city of Edmonton has fired back at Vegas by putting up Oilers billboards in Nevada taunting Golden Knights fans.
This move comes in response to a Vegas bar who put up over 150 billboards in Edmonton this week after the Golden Knights Game 3 win.
City of Edmonton fires back with billboards of their own in Vegas taunting Golden Knights fans
Some Golden Knights fans began posting this morning noticing new billboards up in Vegas, in favour of the Oilers by displaying a «3-1 Go Oilers Go» message.
The billboard obviously referenced the series score that's heavily skewed toward the Oilers. Vegas is now on the brink of elimination and facing an Oilers team that means business.
It's a fitting clap back after Vegas pulled this exact same stunt in Edmonton, and probably got way too cocky over a meaningless Game 3 win.
A bar in Vegas purchased 150 billboards displaying a message of «0.04», referencing the heartbreaker goal by the Golden Knights in Game 3. In the end, it may turn out to be their only win in the series. Hope they enjoyed it!
The Vegas Golden Knights also tried to measure up to the Oilers with their outdoor playoff watch party. To say the least, it's not exactly comparable to the Moss Pit.
Oilers have chance to eliminate Golden Knights in 5 games
Tonight the Oilers will have a chance to eliminate Vegas in their home rink, and while missing their captain
Mark Stone to injury.
The Oilers have to seize this opportunity to make a quick series out of their rivals, and punch an early ticket to the conference finals.
