Connor McDavid raises concern with unexpected incident at Oilers practice

This is obviously something to keep an eye on, and will surely spark concern that McDavid is injured. In the Cup Final though, only a catastrophic injury could hold him out.
Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid leaves practice early
According to multiple Oilers reporters at practice, Connor McDavid spoke with trainers and exited the practice long before the rest of the team.
It's obviously a sign of concern that McDavid wasn't able to finish off the rest of the practice, which is completely unusual for the Captain. There must be something that came up that McDavid felt was worth resting, instead of finishing the skate.
Still, McDavid looked great in Game 5 against Dallas, and there's no question he'll play Game 1. There just may be questions in his health status.
Oilers confirm lineup before Game 1 of Stanley Cup Final
The Oilers did take full line rushes before McDavid's departure, and were able to confirm their lines before the Cup Final.
Connor Brown skated as an extra, but is confirmed to be playing for Game 1. He's a key third liner to the identity of the Oilers' bottom six, and especially their penalty kill.
Jeff Skinner will likely draw out in his place.
Hopefully McDavid is close to feeling 100% before Game 1, and ready to dominate on his way to winning his first Stanley Cup. No matter what though, he'll absolutely be on the ice.
