He had a promising start to his career in Edmonton, as he racked up 22 goals and 39 points in 43 games during his first season.
The following season he would be struck down with an injury that would cut his season in half as he was sliced by the skate of Pat Maroon, resulting in a shortened season for him.
Eventually, he would be able to rejoin the Oilers practice group after 10 weeks of being away from the team following the major medical procedure on his wrist.
In total, Kane scored four goals and accumulated six points in nine games, but during the course of the regular season, he only played in 41 games.
Although Kane has always had a very strong personality and refuses to blame it on his injury for his lack of production, he admitted to 630CHED's Bob Stauffer that he is still not back to his original baseline with his wrist.
Kane claims his body is feeling well, but fans and the front office alike, will be keeping a watch on his performance soon.
