Veteran Oilers forward on 3 year contract named odd man out of playoff lineup

The Edmonton Oilers signed Mattias Janmark to a three year contract after a great playoff last year, but now analysts believe he'll be the odd man out this season.
The Oilers will get a slew of reinforcements back in time for the playoffs, including Connor McDavid, Evander Kane, and Trent Frederic - which will force some tough decisions in the lineup.

Three players will have to come out of the current lineup for the playoffs when the team is fully healthy. The first two cuts are fairly easy with Max Jones and Kasperi Kapanen, but then it becomes a very difficult choice.
According to Oilers analyst Allan Mitchell, Mattias Janmark will be the player to come out over any other veteran.
If Kane can't go, and that's very possible, Mattias Janmark would get my vote to draw in. I can't take Corey Perry out of the lineupfor any of Janmark, Kasperi Kapanen or Max Jones. Injuries will take care of playing time, same as it ever was.

Connor Brown is younger and faster with more offensive upside, and Corey Perry- even though he doesn't have a penalty killing role like Janmark - has had an incredible season and can't be held out in the playoffs.
This Oilers playoff lineup would be an incredibly deep group that would certainly have a shot to win a cup paired with their similarly deep blue line. The only question will be if their goaltending can hold up over another long playoff run.
