The top remaining free agent Jack Roslovic has reportedly fired his agent after declining an offer from the Oilers earlier this offseason.
Jack Roslovic reportedly fired agent after declining offer from Edmonton Oilers
I do believe there was an offer from the Edmonton Oilers at some point, but Roslovic, 28, turned it down.
He has since switched agents. He's now with Justin Duberman.
- Pierre LeBrun
It's strange that the 28 year old Roslovic has remained without a contract as NHL training camps open up. Last year, the right shot centreman scored 22 goals and 39 points with the Carolina Hurricanes.
With 526 games of NHL experience on 4 different teams, Roslovic is in the prime of his career and coming off a decent season. His contract paid him just $2.8M last season, and LeBrun noted he was looking for more term on this contract.
With their roster essentially set, the Oilers likely have no interest in adding Roslovic on a multi-year deal anymore. Surely he eventually will find another home in the NHL before the start of the upcoming season.
