Sportsnet confirms return of Oilers broadcast crew from last season
In a recent statement, Sportsnet PR confirmed that Jack Michaels, Louie DeBrusk, and Gene Principe will be returning this year as the Oilers' broadcast crew.
There was little to no doubt Sportsnet would make a change as the Oilers' broadcast crew has risen to become one of the most well-reviewed in the league.
Over the last two years as the Oilers have dominated the NHL, Jack Michaels' passionate and energetic calls have conveyed just how electric the team is. And of course, Gene Principe is one of the best hosts in the NHL.
With Michaels on the mic, the energy has been perfectly captured for some of the Oilers biggest moments - especially including clinching the Cup Final for the first time in the McDavid era.
Michaels is returning for his 15th season calling Oilers games, and Principe for his 27th season. Edmonton's in good hands with these veterans.
On the ice, the Oilers will be looking to give the fans another deep playoff run, and finally take care of unfinished business in the Final.
