Oilers organization has personal complaint with Panthers Cup celebration, says insider

The Edmonton Oilers will face off for a Cup Final rematch against the Florida Panthers tomorrow night, and there's a serious personal edge behind this game.
Obviously a rivalry will have developed after 2 hard-fought Finals, one that the Tkachuk brothers recently mentioned on their podcast. However, the Oilers have one particular grievance about last year.
Oilers organization not happy with Panthers «rubbing in» 2nd Cup win
A celebration is expected after a Cup Final, and it deeply stings another team to watch - exemplified by McDavid not coming out to accept the 2024 Conn Smythe Trophy. However, the Oilers think the Panthers went too far with their second celebration.
On the most recent edition of the 32 Thoughts Podcast, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman revealed the Oilers' complaints on last year's Panthers party.

The Panthers' second celebration really extended through the entire season, with tons of players even using their personal day with the Cup to take repeated shots at the Oilers. The Panthers are known for being a team of pests on the ice, and they continued it into the offseason too.
If the Panthers were aiming to have any class, they probably overdid it with their shots at the Oilers so, so often.
There's only one way the Oilers can get their lick back, and that's winning a Stanley Cup. But it would be great if they showed up with a mean streak tomorrow night, and sent a message that they're not going to be disrespected.
