According to a TSN hockey insider, It appears that some insight has been revealed regarding the current turmoil between JT Miller and the Vancouver Canucks.
Farhan Lalji has mentioned that a likely confrontation which was not physical happened after one of the games to which Miller was benched by head coach Rick Tocchet where the next day he announced he was taking a personal leave.
Farhan on Miller: What we understand was a confrontation (not physical) after this one game when he got benched and then the next day the organization announced he was going to take a personal leave.
Nick Kypreos paints slightly diffrent issue between coach and Miller
Other tweets on the X platform emerged including a quote from Nick Kypreos who feels that the issue is between Rick Tocchet and Miller but it occured closer to last week which spurred many trade rumors including a potential deal between the Canucks and the New York Rangers.
Kyper: I heard something happened between Tocchet & Miller in the last week to cause this rush to trade him.
This potential deal was mentioned on Saturday night when 32 Thoughts Podcaster Elliotte Freidman stated that there were talks about potential trade between the two teams but has recently cooled but may still occur.
The JT Miller-to-NYR trade that was nixed included Chytil and Lindgren. Talks broke down because of pick conditions, per @ThomasDrance
The Canucks organization has worked diligently to try to resolve the issues between Elias Pettersson, JT Miller and now head coach Rick Tocchet.
Dhaliwal on trading Miller:
From what I'm hearing they aren't stopping today. They want to get this done.
(Kyper & Bourne)
Much has been said by various members of the team including general manager Patrik Allvin that has not put in the fire that continues to burn in the organization even though many continued to deny it's even happening.
The longer this issue drags on, the longer it will continue to affect the Canucks as the team continues to sink in the standings and may find itself looking outside into the playoffs.
