The Florida Panthers defeated the Oilers in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final, and now they're revealing they received some major bulletin board material just before the game.

Connor McDavid actually did guarantee that the Oilers would force a Game 7 in a pre-game interview, but now insiders are reporting Edmonton may have even gone a step further to book a post-game win party.

Insider reports Oilers booked postgame win dinner after Game 6, Panthers knew about it

According to the Empty Netters Podcast, the Edmonton Oilers booked out a sushi restaurant for their post game win dinner, and when the Panthers found out about it, it instantly went up in their locker room.
Unbelievable sushi restaurant down here in Fort Lauderdale, favourite spot of the Edmonton Oilers.

I get told, this is before Game 5, that the Edmonton Oilers reserved Takano restaurant and booked out the whole thing for Tuesday night after Game 6, for their Cup celebration. Before Game 5, the series is 2-2.

I hit up a contact on the Florida Panthers, someone on the inside, and I give them that information. That information makes it on the whiteboard pre-game, Game 5. Little motivation for the boys.
If this claim is true, it's obviously not a good look for the Edmonton Oilers at all. It's hard to believe this group of seasoned leaders would allow a premature celebration with the series at 2-2, especially Corey Oerry after his Cup Final losses.
Nevertheless, the Oilers did end up going out for dinner as a team after Game 6 - but Vasily Podkolzin said it was completely silent, and a heartbreaking moment.
The Florida Panthers Stanley Cup Parade was held today, and they're still running it in everyone's faces. Sam Bennett proudly declared his team one of the dirtiest in the NHL after injuring several players this year.
They call us dirty, they call us nasty, they call us bullies. So no, I would like to take this time to apologize, to absolutely f****** no one.

We're the double champs. We do what the f*** we want.
Unfortunately, the Panthers were simply the better team in this series, and look to be one of the most elite playoff teams in recent NHL History. Their dirt nasty trash talk will continue to be entirely legit until someone can dethrone the champs - hopefully, it's the Edmonton Oilers.
