To say Johnny Gaudreau has had quite the history with the Edmonton Oilers would be an understatement. Spending nine season's as a Calgary Flame until he decided to become a Columbus Blue Jacket as a free agent.

After making his return to Calgary, Gaudreau would return to Edmonton Wednesday night to face his former battle of Alberta foe Connor McDavid and the Oilers.

However, it appears the hate remains between the two after McDavid would give Gaudreau a welcome back to Edmonton tap, Gaudreau would give him a thank you tap back then added a cross check to the head on McDavid, causing Johnny Hockey to hit the sin bin.

Gaudreau would instantly regret his actions after Zach Hyman would make him pay, scoring a powerplay goal to give the Oilers a 2-1 lead on the powerplay caused by Gaudreau.

Gaudreau would get the last laugh when Blue Jackets Kent Johnson would score the overtime winner giving the Blue Jackets the 3-2 win.
