The arrival of Connor Brown in Edmonton, Alberta, will not be a stranger to him since he played with Connor McDavid before moving to the Oil country.

Before joining the NHL, Brown and McDavid played two seasons together for the Otters in Eerie. Over two seasons played together, the duo scored 126 goals and 236 assists.
"He's just so smart. Just a really smart player and competitive," McDavid said reminiscing about their time in the OHL together. "I think that was the main thing I remember being a 15-year-old kid was [Brown] was trying to develop his game to play for the Leafs, and he was just so competitive every single night."

"I'm excited for Brownie, obviously. We played together in Toronto and we played well together and he's just such an elite worker," Hyman said. "We're kind of similar in that regard. We were always kind of compared to each other when were in Toronto as these two worker bees and great to have him in Edmonton and get him back there and it's great. We got a bunch of former Leafs obviously, so it's great to add him into the mix."

Despite the fact that Brown is returning from a knee injury and it's unlikely the Oilers will be able to recapture that same dynamic as they had in juniors, the team is really excited to have him on board.
Additionally, Brown has chemistry with more than one current Oiler, as he was a teammate of Zach Hyman's in Toronto.
Hyman and McDavid are excited to bring Brown in for a new season, as Brown fits not only the team's current objectives but their team structure.
