Major report shows glaring hole in Edmonton Oilers' roster

TSN has unveiled its 2025-26 Talent Tiers which has the Edmonton Oilers goaltenders ranked in the 4th, out of 5 tiers.
Given that the Oilers have qualified for the last two Stanley Cup Finals, and the last four Western Conference Finals, the poor ranking does raise some eyebrows as to its accuracy.
TSN Goaltender-ranking has Oilers among worst in the league
Following are the reasons TSN analysts give for Edmonton's Tier-4 ranking:
Goaltending will be the Achilles' heel of this team until further notice. Stuart Skinner has struggled too frequently in high-leverage spots over the last two seasons, and his breakout years seem all but a distant memory. I anticipate Edmonton upgrades this position either in late summer or at the trade deadline, barring a miraculous turnaround. The stakes are too high in the moment to stand pat. Oilers' GM Stan Bowman clearly disagrees with the TSN analysts, as it seems he has every intention of starting next season with the same goalies that finished the last campaign: Stuart Skinner and
Calvin Pickard.
TSN ranks the winner of the last two Stanley Cups only one Tier above Edmonton's, in Tier-3, citing past performances and forward projections as the reason. It really makes no sense. I'd have Bobrovsky among the NHL's best, in Tier-1.
In the 5th, and final Tier are the Buffalo Sabers, Colorado Avalanche, Philadelphia Flyers, and Pittsburgh Penguins. Again, hard to ague with the fact that these teams have been among the NHL's worst of late.
