The Edmonton Oilers were up 2-0 against the Vancouver Canucks last night and they ended up blowing the lead in a brutal fashion, letting in the next five goals and losing by a score of 2-5.
Following the game, Zach Hyman called out the Oilers for what he considered an unacceptable performance.
"Unacceptable," said Hyman when asked what he thought of the team's effort. "We had a good start up 2-0, we were the fresher team, and they were able to score 5 unanswered. You can't win like that."
"Clearly we weren't good enough... can't happen," said a frustrated Hyman.

The team's superstar, Connor McDavid, also had some words to say following Hyman's comments:
"I would agree," said McDavid on the Oilers not playing well at home. "We haven't been playing good enough at home and haven't been finding ways to get wins."
"We had a good start, the start we wanted, and we cough it up," said McDavid. "You gotta find a way to win that game, there's just no way around it."
The Oilers ended off on a bad note before the holiday breal but look to get back into good shape on Tuesday when they face off against the Calgary Flames.
