A few moments ago 32 Thoughts Podcaster and Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman reported that Vegas Golden Knights captain Mark Stone has left the game unexpectedly.

The incident took place in the first period with stone leaving the bench an not plane for 6 minutes and 20 seconds with no word on what injury or reason while he has left the game.

Golden Knights experiencing conflicting injury reports over the past 24 hours

The Golden Knights lineup has been fluctuating over the past 24 to 48 hours as reports came in that Brayden McNabb and Pavel Dorofeyev were not available to play which caused the team to reshuffle their lines.
Earlier this afternoon during practice, the Golden Knights announced that McNabb and Dorofeyev were returning to action for Game 3which caught many by surprise considering that McNabb sustained an injury after the Viktor Arvidsson incident.
Losing Stone will be a big blow to the Golden Knights as the team is attempting to get back into the series as they are currently down 2-0 heading into Game 3.
The Oilers, meanwhile, also had an unexpected injury as starting goaltender Calvin Pickard has been mentioned to be day-to-day with the Oilers turning back to Stuart Skinner to man the net.
Skinner who is the afor mentioned #1 goalie for the Oilers struggled mightily early on in the LA kings series to which Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch turned to his backup goaltender who has filled in well and helped the Oilers move into the second round.

Oilers hoping home crowd with help achieve stranglehold on the series

The series is now switched back to Edmonton where the Oilers hope their home crowd can help gain more momentum and help take a stranglehold on the series.
The Oilers continued to get production from their bottom 6 forwards including Corey Perry who has been fantastic throughout these playoffs despite being 39 years old.
The Oilers have been enjoying a healthy roster for the first time in the entire year which is showing to be important as the Oilers attempted to continue to improve their physicality and their hits after being at the bottom of the hit count in the NHL.
With Game 3 underway this evening, Game 4 will take place on Monday May 12 and game time will be at 9:30 PM eastern
