Top Oilers prospect in minors takes major step forward, called NHL ready

The Edmonton Oilers have a very interesting prospect in Roby Jarventie, who's now knocking in the door of the NHL after taking a major step.
Only 23 years old, Jarventie's short professional career has been impressive but plagued by injury. This year, things could finally be changing for Jarventie if he's fully healthy.
Roby Jarventie finally cleared to play back-to-back games, called NHL ready by analysts
Jarventie suffered such a severe knee injury years ago, that the Oilers have still been cautious of him playing back-to-back games. For the first time in years he's been deemed fully healthy, and can finally play consecutive games.
One Oilers analyst noted that this is a major step toward Jarventie solidifying his pro career, and that's he's ready to contribute in the NHL.
Through 6 games with the Condors this season, Jarventie has dominated with 3 goals and 7 points. He's even been called up to play 7 games with the Ottawa Senators too, adding to his case of being ready for the Oilers.
It's not just this season that Jarventie has succeeded offensively in the AHL, either. He's been near a point per game player since the 2022-23 season, just limited by injury. Whenever he's played, he's impressed analysts with his skill.
At 6'3 and 209 pounds, Jarventie has the physical frame and slick offensive skill to succeed at the NHL level. Even that size is something the Oilers could use in the bottom six, despite the fact he's not physical.
The Oilers don't have much room to call up another player, but Roby Jarventie may force the hand of the front office - or he could be used as a valuable trade asset.
