During the game against Chicago, Calgary's first-round pick and highly-touted rookie Zayne Parekh was injured following a hit along the boards.
«He's going to miss a little bit of time," Flames' head coach Ryan Huska said. "I don't know the extent of it yet, but we'll find out some more tomorrow.»

After the 2nd-period intermission, Sportsnet's Pat Steinberg reported Parekh would not be returning to the game due to an upper-body injury.
Zayne Parekh took a questionable hit along the boards from
Nick Foligno early in the 2nd-period. It was clear that the 19-year-old prospect was in pain when he skated to his bench, favouring his shoulder area.
Then, adding fuel to the fire, Foligno threw another big hit on Calgary's forward
Connor Zary, leading to a fight with
Joel Hanley.
Following the game, coach Ryan Huska spoke with the media about Zayne, commenting on the NHL's fast pace.
«I think it's probably getting used to the speed, a little bit,» Huska said. «Guys close quite a bit quicker than what he's used to, and then understanding how to put your body into a different position so you're not taking such heavy hits. I think that's something he's going to be learning along the way here. Unfortunately, he took a pretty good one tonight from a heavier player.»
Parekh, who is only 19-years old, is in his first campaign in the pros; he was the first OHL blueliner to score 30-plus goals in consecutive seasons, since Bobby Orr. But this in not the OHL.
Parekh has already missed five games as a healthy scratch this year, and has only one assist to show for his efforts in the 11 games he's played with the Flames.
