Sportsnet poised to make another major change to Oilers playoff TV broadcast

The Edmonton Oilers have punched their ticket to the third round of the playoffs, but it's looking unlikely for Jack Michaels and Louie DeBrusk to continue on the TV broadcast.
The third round of the playoffs is now expected to start in the middle of next week after Winnipeg extended their series, and they could still have an effect on the Oilers broadcast too.
Sportsnet poised to make major changes to Oilers playoff broadcast
Jack Michaels and Louie DeBrusk are the Oilers regional broadcasters, and Sportsnet has National Broadcasters take control of playoff series.
Because there's been so many Canadian teams this playoffs, Michaels advanced to the second round - but maybe not the third.
Surprisingly, Harnarayn Singh was the first broadcaster removed, and John Bartlett called the Jets vs Stars series. That suggests Bartlett has the senior role now, with first in line still being Chris Cuthbert.
In addition with Stauffer's report then, it seems that if the Jets or the Leafs were to be eliminated - Cuthbert or Bartlett would take over the Oilers call.
It would be tough to see Michaels taken off the broadcast at this point. His infectious energy and passion for the games has been elevated for the playoffs, making an incredibly engaging experience for fans watching from the edge of their seats. Through the first two rounds, it's been great to have Michaels on the call for the first time in the playoffs.
Unfortunately, this may even give Oilers fans a reason to cheer for the Jets and the Leafs. Come the Stanley Cup Final though, it will surely be Chris Cuthbert's crew on the call.
