Edmonton Oilers reveal new lineup at practice after Draisaitl injury
According to Oilers reporters at practice, Leon Draisaitl was not present with the team - which would indicate he's not available for tomorrow afternoon's game against Los Angeles.
In Draisaitl's absence, Nugent-Hopkins will move back up to the first line with Podkolzin and Arvidsson.
Trent Frederic projects to get back in the lineup to make his Oilers debut against the Los Angeles Kings. It's great news for the team to finally see their trade deadline acquisition after such a lengthy injury. Frederic will play on a makeshift second line with Henrique and Hyman.
The defence pairs will remain the same as last game, and
Calvin Pickard will earn his 5th start in a row - looking to keep up his incredible play as of late.
Another positive update is seeing
Connor McDavid continuing to skate with the team, although he's still not back in regular line rushes. He's clearly hanging around the team to keep up morale.
Oilers missing McDavid and Draisaitl for crucial game against Los Angeles Kings
Tomorrow afternoon's game may be the most portent contest of the Oilers season so far.
With such a small speeation in the standings, this single game against the Kings could be a deciding factor for home ice advantage in the playoffs. Without McDavid and Draisaitl, it'll be an even tougher task for the Oilers' supporting cast.
