Edmonton Oilers reveal lineup vs Calgary Flames: Where to watch rookie series

The Edmonton Oilers are nearly back in action, as today will kick off the team's rookie series against the Calgary Flames.
The Oilers and Flames will match up today and Sunday for two all-rookie games in place of the Penticton Young Stars Classic, which has been cancelled. It's a big game for any rookie playing looking to make a good impression.
Edmonton Oilers announce lineup for rookie squad game vs Calgary Flames
Oilers insider Bob Stauffer took to social media to reveal the team's lineup for tonight's game, which will feature all of the team's top prospects.
The first line will consist of two hopeful NHLers with Matthew Savoie and Ike Howard. Both rookies are slightly smaller skilled forwards, but should be able to dominate in a rookie squad game.
Centered by German Free Agent signing Josh Samanski, the first line tonight should interest all Oilers fans.
Beyond the first forward line, there's still a few interesting names up front. Viljami Marjala and Quinn Hutson on the second line are also new additions to keep an eye on, and hopefully could translate to NHLers in the future.
On defence, Damien Carfagna and Beau Akey will be the top two prospects to watch. In goal, Samuel Jonsson will make his North American debut after rising to become the team's best goalie prospect.
Where to watch Oilers rookie game vs Calgary Flames
The rookie squad game will be played in Rogers Place, so Oilers fans will be able to attend in person for a greatly reduced ticket price.
However, fans will also be able to watch online. The game will be available behind a paywall at Oilers Plus, and on the Flames website for free.
Plenty of Oilers fans itching for hockey and interested in the prospects under the surface will be dialling in. Thankfully, we're now just a few weeks away from actual NHL hockey.
