The 34-year-old former right winger was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in 2000 and 913th overall and had a playing career that stretched from 2011 to 2024.
He had spent seven seasons as a player with the Oilers where he had and been inconsistent at times and had many seasons where he never played a full 82 games but was a very physical player and delivered many hits and fights over that time.
His time came to an end with the Oilers back in 2022-23 when he was traded to the Arizona Coyotes including the Oilers 1st round pick for several picks.
Oilers physicality on display in the Golden Knights series
As the series has gone on the Oilers have grown stronger and have essentially run over the golden Knights especially in Game 4 were the team dominated from the start to finish which left the golden Knights bewildered and unable to mount any offense.
