Connor McDavid sends a message to Vegas before Round 2 of playoffs

Speaking in a postgame interview after last night, McDavid mentioned the tough series loss to Vegas a few years ago, and mentioned that the Oilers want to get back at them for it.
We're already looking ahead here. We owe Vegas a good series. We don't forget what happened 2 years ago. Looking forward to it.

- Connor McDavid
In the 2022-23 season, the Oilers were still looking to punch through the opening rounds of the playoffs and make a long run when they took a hard loss to Vegas in 6 games.
The Oilers and the Golden Knights developed an intense rivalry, mostly stemming from the heavy physical style that Vegas likes to employ. After losing to Vegas in 2023, the Oilers took those lessons and back stronger than ever before.
Now a team of hardened playoff veterans on their own, the Oilers are looking to get their lick back.
This second round matchup are two teams who could win the Stanley Cup. The Oilers will have a major challenge ahead of them to slay the dragon of playoff losses past, and Connor McDavid has the Oilers ready to run through a wall to do it.
