Connor McDavid sends a message to Dallas Stars before Western Conference Final

Top NHL experts have the Oilers ranked as underdogs for the third series straight, and Edmonton is loving to prove their doubters wrong.

Especially with the addition of star forward Mikko Rantanen, there's significant buzz around the NHL for the Dallas Stars. McDavid conceded they're a good team, but still believes the Oilers are better.

McDavid and the Oilers aren't even too bothered with who their opponent is, because they know they're capable of winning it all if their game is executed correctly. Instead of pumping Dallas' tires, McDavid is laser focused and calling out the powerplay specifically to make more of an impact.

The Oilers bested Dallas in 6 Games in last year's Western Conference Final, and they fully believe they can do it again. Edmonton had a 1-2 record against Dallas this season, but they'll certainly be bringing their best for the playoffs.

Connor McDavid himself too may not be too happy with his own production lately. The Oilers captain only scored 1 goal in the second round off 34 scoring chances though, meaning he's due for an explosion of goals.

The Western Conference Final begins tomorrow night in Dallas. The Oilers need just one more series win to get themselves back into position to achieve their ultimate goal.
