Tonight, the Edmonton Oilers will take on the San Jose Sharks in their first game back from the Christmas break. Already massive favourites against the bottom-feeding Sharks, new information has just come out that will tilt the odds even more in the favour of the Oilers.

According to San Jose Sharks reporter Curtis Pashelka, the Sharks will move away from their starting goalie Mackenzie Blackwood tonight, and give the rookie goaltender Magnus Chrona the nod tonight in net.
It'll be Chrona's NHL debut, and it will not be an easy task against the league's top offensive talents in Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. San Jose is actually been steadily improving since beginning their season on a horrific losing streak, but are still one of the league's weakest teams. Still, that didn't stop the Sharks from beating the Oilers and getting Jay Woodcroft fired.
Regardless of the advantage in starting goalies and the overall team difference, the Oilers will still need to bring their best game to get an all-important win. These easier matchups have to be taken advantage of if the Oilers can bank enough points to make the playoffs.
