BREAKING: Vegas Golden Knights acquire all star $8M forward

Moments ago, the Vegas Golden Knights have struck again as the huge winners of the trade deadline by acquiring Thomas Hertl from the San Jose Sharks. Vegas will send multiple first round draft picks in the trade.

Hertl is currently on LTIR, but is expected to be back by the end of this season. The 30 year old forward is having a down season, but was once a consistent 30 goal, 90 point threat when the Sharks were competitive. This year Hertl has just 15 goals and 34 points in 48 games, and is signed to seven years more on his contract at $8.1M.




With this trade at the very last minute, Vegas emerges as the massive winners of this trade deadline, and we're officially all the way in on repeating as Stanley Cup Champions this year. Having added Anthony Mantha, Noah Hanifin, and now Thomas Hertl, they've had an absolutely incredible deadline.
