The Edmonton oilers goaltending troubles may have just been solved

There is a spot in the Edmonton Oilers lineup now that Jack Campbell has been placed on waivers.

Having a good goaltending pair is critical to the team's chances of making the playoffs, and securing a spot in contention means looking at hometown products.

So, when do the Oilers give the Flyers a call and go hard after hometown kid Carter Hart?

A player they may want to inquire about is the Philadelphia Flyers' Carter Hart, who has been a great backstop to a terrible team in Philly.

In his 2022-2023 season as Philadelphia's starting goalie, Hart posted a 2.52 GAA and .913 save percentage.

Holland could significantly improve the Oilers' standing and woes in the crease if he made an offer for him.

PHI has been willing to listen o Hart and have made it known they're willing to take on unideal contracts (Campbell?) for the right price.

Is there a fit with EDM?

But what will Ken Holland have to sacrifice in order to return to the playoffs?

Would it be a good idea to move the team's next first-round pick? Could a later pick be combined with Raphael Lavoie and Philip Broberg?

Regardless, Ken Holland needs to pick up the phone and call the hometown boy.
