The NHL has taken to social media to share the gutting news that former goalie and current broadcaster Greg Millen has passed away suddenly.
Millen played for 14 seasons teams over his 604 game career. He moved to broadcasting after his playing career, as a colour commentator for Hockey Night in Canada and Sportsnet.

The NHL released a statement on the passing of Millen this afternoon, detailing his incredible achievements in hockey on the ice, in broadcasting, and in leading the future of the game. Millen was married with four children.
It's absolutely tragic news to hear of his sudden passing. Millen was working the Calgary Flames coverage as a colour commentator this year, and was only 67 years old.
Sportsnet has also released a statement on the loss of Millen, honouring his legacy and offering their sympathies to his family.
As both a player and a broadcaster, Greg left an indelible mark on the sport as well as everyone who had the pleasure to know him, watch him, and listen to him. With his infectious passion for the game, sharp insights, and quick wit, Greg was a trusted and familiar voice in the home of millions of Canadians for more than 30 years.
