Former Oiler Dylan Holloway looks to be dealing with another major injury as he was helped off the ice at practice today.

After an incredible start with the Blues last season, Holloway's scoring pace has slowed this season to 17 points in 33 games - on pace for just 42 on the season. Now, some injury concerns are starting to crop up again.

Dylan Holloway appears to suffer major injury at Blues practice

Reporters at Blues' practice saw Holloway having to be helped off the ice today. Now, some serious injuries are racking up for the young Edmonton-native forward.
After practice, Coach Jim Montgomery wasn't able to offer any update on Holloway's condition. Generally, that's not a good sign for it being a minor injury.
In early April of 2025, Holloway tore his oblique which required corrective surgery. He was ruled out long-term, and missed out on a surprise playoff berth for the Blues.
Holloway's also had multiple wrist surgeries earlier in his career, and now this injury doesn't look good either. The amount of major injuries he's racked up by the age of 24 looks to be an emerging concern.
Battling back from injury is often a challenge that does affect players' performance. It's possible there's lingering effects of his oblique injury that have led to a down scoring season, and now he'll have to battle back from another injury.
It's incredibly unfortunate for Holloway to have such a bad run of injuries. Plenty of Oilers fans still regret letting go of this good young player too early, and seeing this stretch of injuries is just brutal for him.
