Roope Hintz unlikely to play in Oilers Stars Game 3 in Edmonton
According to new reports from Stars reporters, Hintz is still awaiting medical testing before making a decision to travel to Edmonton or not.
Nurse's slash was forceful, and must have caught Hintz in a bad place if it could cause such a serious injury to prevent him from travelling.
Online Sports Doctor Harjas Grewal said a likely injury could be a broken bone in the foot - which Hintz could still possibly play through.
Additionally, there's an unusually quick turnaround time for Game 3 in Edmonton. It will be a matinee game at 1:00 MT, and including travel time from Dallas, will put a significant time constraint on his potential return.
Given the doubt on Hintz's travel and the matinee Game 3, it appears likely that he'll miss at least one game with injury. It will be a big blow to Dallas' offence, as Hintz is one of their primary scorers with 11 points in 15 playoff games.
Hopefully he will be able to get cleared, and return to play in Game 3 for a full-strength battle between two great teams battling for a Stanley Cup Final berth.
