Will The Edmonton Oilers sign this prospect?
Keeping a strong pipeline of talented prospects is crucial, and Ken Holland is committed to this goal. However, it seems that Holland may not extend an offer to one of the prospects acquired from the Carolina Hurricanes.
Patrik Puistola, who was acquired in exchange for Jesse Puljujärvi in a 1-for-1 trade, has been playing in the Finnish Liiga system this year.
Puistola has had an impressive season, with 16 goals, 24 assists, and 40 points, and even led the World Juniors in scoring during 7 games in 2019.
Despite being primarily a depth scorer, it's difficult to find anything not to like about Puistola.
Nonetheless, if Holland decides not to sign him, the young player will continue to play for Jukurit in Liiga, as he recently signed a 1-year extension with the team.
