Lightning star Nikita Kucherov taunts the fans, and they didn't like it
It seems impossible to think that every NHL team passed on Nikita Kucherov in the first round during the 2011 entry draft. Within his second season of play, he showed the NHL what he's all about and hasn't slowed down since.
His skillset and hockey IQ were on full display last night when the Lightning played against the Seattle Kraken. Both teams are in a deadlock of 3-3 in overtime when Brandon Hagel skated down at full speed and did a beautiful dish across the ice to Kucherov who finished the game.
As his teammates celebrated their victory, Kucherov decided to take on the Seattle fan base and give them an earful. No one knows exactly what he said but the expression on the fan's face was quite upset.
His numbers continue to be incredible as he has played 28 games this season, scored nineteen goals with 28 assists for 47 points and as a - 1.
At this pace he's going to be on track for over 110 points this year.
