The Edmonton Oilers General Manager Ken Holland is known for making moves almost every year at the NHL trade deadline, but has yet to have targeted that one player like he did last year with Evander Kane, or has he?
There's been plenty of rumours about the possibility that the Edmonton Oilers might be landing the best players available at the deadline, I'm talking about Chicago Blackhawks star Patrick Kane.
Kane has been getting plenty of interest from the Oilers as well as other teams, but there's also the issue about is Kane healthy enough due to his nagging hip issues? And if Kane would head to the Oilers and if so what's the asking price?
Well according to Hockey Insider Frank Seravalli the asking price for Kane appears to have lowered, and this is amazing news for the Oilers and any team involved.
Seravalli says: For those interested in Patrick Kane, It sounds like his price has dropped, To the point where the Blackhawks may not even get a first back for him, depending on what the Hawks get back for other players. Seravalli also mentioned the Edmonton Oilers maybe one of Kane's acceptable destinations.
There's no doubt that if Holland could acquire Kane, he would definitely make a difference if he remains healthy. That's the million dollar question Holland is going to have to decide...is Kane worth the risk? After all it paid off with Evander Kane.
