The Edmonton Oilers are expected to be making some more major changes to their lineup in their next game against the Seattle Kraken.
Coach Knoblauch did make the well deserved move to promote
Matthew Savoie to the first line last game, and then proceeded to make multiple adjustments during the game - which are going to be staying around.
Oilers coach Knoblauch confirms incoming line changes after game vs Canadiens
Ike Howard was moved up into the top six as the Oilers split up McDavid and Draisaitl to end the game against the Habs. Speaking to the media afterward, Coach Knoblauch confirmed these combinations will stay.
All around, these seem like some of the best combinations Knoblauch has put together so far this season.
Ike Howard has been improving by the game, and is now getting some dangerous scoring chances more often alongside other skill players.
Andrew Mangiapane has also been excellent, and deserving of the move up.
Matthew Savoie sticking on the second line with the reliable pairing of Draisaitl and Podkolzin is also another well-rounded trio. Most importantly, these combinations will actually get the rookies into big roles.
We'll see how long these lines stick with Coach Knoblauch, but these should be popular combos that fans will be excited for tomorrow night.
