A recent question has come up with regards to the scheduling between teams such as the Calgary Flames and the Edmonton Oilers being so close together and hardly any games or none at the end of the season.
I find it interesting that he wants to spread out the teams so that they meet each other further along in the season however that hasn't happened especially for the Canadian teams.
It was first reported this season that the NHL had seen a major drop in its ratings. With many fans complaining about blackouts in their region, poor start times for games such as 4:00 PM or 2:00 PM rather than the prime time seven or eight o'clock.
I feel that the NHL we'll need to make some changes to their views to regain some of their viewership.
It remains to be seen if he will live up to his promise, however as most Canadian hockey fans feel he will not and continue to strive for his main goal which is to grow the game in the United States.
