Alexander Ovechkin approaches the Capitals management after they trade his fellow Russian teammate
The NHL trade deadline can be a very unpredictable and unpleasant time for players not knowing if they are going to be traded or not. The Capitals made a surprise move with the Boston Bruins sending Dmitry Orlov and forward Garnet Hathaway to the Bruins.
This has Capitals fans worried that the team will be sellers at the trade deadline when the Capitals believe they can still contend in the playoffs. Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin reportedly wasn't happy with Orlov being dealt and decided to share his displeasure with Management.
The Capitals are not rebuilding or retooling but deemed that when the trade to intended to be necessary as the Capitals have set their eyes on acquiring Arizona Coyotes defenceman Jakob Chychrun. Numerous team's including the Dallas Stars, Edmonton Oilers, and Toronto Maple Leafs have tried to acquire Chychrun but unfortunately for the poor kid he's still a Coyote.
We might just have to call liam neeson if the Capitals get rescue Chychrun, as for Ovechkin he must be ok with the Orlov trade now since he hasn't mentioned anything to the media.
