Oilers targeting goalie addition on waivers, multiple options revealed

The Edmonton Oilers need to add a goaltender to their roster, but aren't willing to pay up for any available options - so they may be planning on watching the waiver wire early next year.
There's a ton of NHL teams with 3 or more goaltenders under contract for next season, which could prompt some movement before training camp. The Oilers on the other hand, don't even have a defined starter or backup.

The top options based on talent include the following 6 teams:

Devon Levi is the only goalie of the group that's exempt from waivers, but his talent and ascension to the roster could force a decision with the Sabres' other goalies.
The option that may interest the Oilers most is Chicago goalie Arvid Soderblom. Signed into the NHL as an undrafted free agent by Stan Bowman and coached by the Oilers new goalie mentor, he's currently a restricted free agent.
Oilers insider Bob Stauffer also has previously hinted the team may be looking at the waiver wire for goalie help.
