Oilers still have rare way to take back major playoff advantage

Tyler Yaremchuk of the Oilernation Everyday tweeted that the Edmonton Oilers still have a chance in securing home ice advantage as the team along with the NHL enters its last three games of the season.
The Oilers would have to win out all their remaining games which would put them at 103 points to which the team would have to scoreboard watch and see the Kings go 1-1-1 in their final three games.
Oilers looking trying to finish strong for end of the season
The Oilers know all too well on how important it is to lock up home ice as travel during the playoff rounds can be grueling on their bodies and on their minds.
The Oilers have had an inconsistent season when it comes to wins and losses as the team has gone through long stretches of loss especially early in the year and then great stretches of hockey especially after the new year.
The team is slated to meet the Los Angeles Kings for a fourth season in a row which has become the standard for both organizations.
Injuries continue to hamper the Oilers just prior to Round 1
It seems that the injury carousel has continued within the team as Zach Hyman left the game yesterday against the San Jose Sharks and defenseman Mattias Ekholm who had returned from injury left quickly after a few shifts and was not seen for the rest of the game.
Ekholm will have further tests done as his injuryhas become more serious.
The team also welcome back goaltender Stuart Skinner who had concussion issues earlier this month and Connor McDavid has also returned from injury where he had three assists against the Sharks.
The Oilers and the rest of the NHL playoff bound teams are doing their best to try to protect their players from injury by either resting them or limiting their minutes as the final games come to an end.
