Roby Jarventie is the feature player at this position, and I do see him getting some NHL games this season. Of all the prospects in Bakersfield this year, Jarventie, Akey and Jonsson are the three who have the most NHL potential. He's very good.

Now 23 years old, Jarventie was drafted in the 2nd round by the Ottawa Senators in 2020. He excelled as an offensive talent with the Senators' system, scoring 20 points in 22 AHL games in 2023-24, and was even called up to play in 7 NHL games.
Jarventie suffered a severe knee injury while with the Senators, which hurt his stock in Ottawa. Shortly after, he was sent to the Oilers in exchange for a downward trending former first round pick in
Xavier Bourgault.
Unfortunately, he had a brutal first year with the Oilers organization, only being healthy enough to play 2 games for the Condors. Now that he's fully healed from the major knee injury though, he could get back to his previous offensive highs.
Jarventie is still a young player whose incredible early success has been stunted by injury. If he can get back on a roll next season and prove he's back at his previous level, he'll earn another NHL call-up to make his Oilers debut this season.
