Even their mere presence in an arena would give any young hockey fan excitement knowing that a future legend of the game is standing there watching you play.
This visit happened earlier today when Connor McDavid and some of his teammates stopped by a youth hockey game being held in Scottsdale AZ as they prepared for their game against the Coyotes.
This incredible gesture by the Oilers certainly bodes well for the areas in Arizona as the uncertainty continues to swirl around the coyotes organization. It's important that the faces of the NHL continue to give the support to the youth that play the game in the desert southwest as it's imperative to find the next generation of talent.
In the end, the Oilers beat the Coyotes 6-3 and and 7-3-0 in their last ten games.
