Oilers have dominated Dallas Stars since a turning point event in Game 1
Edmonton Oilers superstars Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid's reaction to the loss in game one ignited the Oilers offence where they have been dominating the Dallas Stars ever since.
Their game one collapse where the Stars won 6-3 after being down 3-0 going into the third period helped motivate the Oilers and showed there resolve.
Oilers have been getting offense from all over lineup
One of the main stories of this year's playoffs is that the Oilers are receiving offensive contributions from many parts of their lineup especially in their bottom 6 and players that have returned from injury.
The team has outscored the stars 19-8 since their Game 1 loss which includes tonight's game where the team is now leading 5-3.
These successes are what's leading the Oilers and potentially closing out this series in five games which many felt it would be closer to seven games.
Panthers and Oilers colliding in the Stanley Cup Finals for a second year
Barring any changes in Game 5, the Oilers appeared to be on the collision course with the reigning Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers for a second year in a row.
This rematch is quite rare in the NHL as most teams do not have the chance to meet each other again in the Stanley Cup finals in this era.
It will be fascinating on how the Oilers handle the Panthers this time around and what lessons they learned from last year's Stanley Cup which saw then come up just short of the goal.
With the additions of Walman, Klingberg, a healthy
Mattias Ekholm and the depth the team has on scoring, this edition of the Oilers will be ready for this great rematch of the Stanley Cup Finals.
