Oilers forward Evander Kane spoke to Tim Peel and Jeremy Roenick on the Snipes & Stripes Podcast and opened about his thought about playing for the Edmonton Oilers and living in Edmonton.

Kane has seen a resurgence in his scoring touch and his physicality after being off for one season in recovery from abdominal surgery and knee surgery.

Kane admires and enjoying his time in Edmonton

Kane spoke about how the fans embrace him as soon as he was traded from the San Jose Sharks and what he has seen throughout the city when it comes to supporting the team and how active the fan base truly is.

"Ever since I got here... fans have treated me great. Really bonded with the community and city of Edmonton. They've treated me so well and showed me a lot of love. Went for dinner last night, and there was a parade of like 100 vehicles decked out in Oilers flags and Stanley Cups already going downtown. You see the emotion, you see the passion, it's definitely motivating.

Not that we need any extra motivation but it does give you a little extra. For me it's nice to be recognized. - Evander Kane

He has played 17 games in the playoffs since his return, and he has compiled six goals with six assessment 12 points and is a + 7.
He has been in key situations to help win games with contributions offensively and he has helped transform the Oilers physical game along with Trent Frederic who now give the Oilers his chance to be more evenly matched against the Panthers when it comes to physicality.
Many felt that Kane may have needed to be traded before the playoffs as he held a captain of $5.125 million for one more season. A healthy Kane is crushing those thoughts.

Oilers will try to regroup and get back to their game in Game 3

Kane, along with his teammates will need to adjust as the Panthers have done so and hemmed in the Oilers efficiently during Game 2.
The Oilers have now lost their ability to do the last change, and it will depend on how the players respond as the Panthers vaunted forecheck has resurged and kept the Oilers scrambling in their own end at times which led to a few goals.
This challenge will test head coach Kris Knoblauch and his staff on how they will handle this and see how the Oilers respond as game 3 will begin on Monday June 9th at 8:00 PM eastern.
