Connor McDavid and wife Lauren send touching personal messages on social media

Not only are the McDavids now celebrating their anniversary, they'll get a big celebration for Leon Draisaitl this week as the German superstar gets married in France.

Lauren took to social media to post a touching video of some footage from the wedding date. With a message tagged «Happy 1 year of marriage», the McDavids can be seen signing the documents to marry them.

One year ago McDavid got a ring in his wedding to Kyle in a very private ceremony in Muskoka, Ontario. Plenty of Oilers were in attendance, and Leon Draisaitl was the best man.

McDavid also took to Instagram to commemorate their 1st anniversary, sharing some pictures himself of the day.

It's absolutely amazing to see Connor McDavid thriving in his personal life with his wife Lauren, and the two are putting down roots in the city of Edmonton. Lauren has opened a bar and restaurant downtown Edmonton, another good sign for McDavid re-signing with the Oilers for the long term.

From what the public sees at least, the couple are thrilled to be living their lives in Edmonton.

Now the couple will travel together to France in the next week to celebrate Draisaitl's wedding to Celeste Desjardins, and hopefully, will sign a new contract when they return home.
